June Hoff Ross formerly of Rice Lake, and Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her residence at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer.

June Rohde was born on June 28, 1927 in Valley City, North Dakota to Louis & Anna (Berg) Rohde.

She was the youngest of 6 children. She moved from the family farm to the Rice Lake area and met and married Robert (Bob) Hoff on August 31, 1957. They had two children, Sue (Hoff) Begley and Thomas Hoff. Her husband, Robert passed away in 1984. June moved to Eau Claire to be closer to family in 1994. She found love again with Richard Ross, and the two married in May of 1995 and spent many years together. Richard passed away in December of 2016.

She is survived by her children Sue (Chuck) Begley of Rice Lake, and Thomas (Kristin) Hoff of Eau Claire. Step children Steven (Mari) Ross of Eau Claire, Chuck (Maryann) Ross of San Diego, CA, Nancy (Gary) Burchell of Galesville, WI, Jim (Krissann) Ross of Eau Claire, and Ann (Daryl) Nitchke of Prosper, TX. Grandchildren Melissa (Dan) Arnott, Heather Begley, Matthew & Nicholas Hoff (Fiancee Shanna Wiegand). Step grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Stone, Holly (Matt) Wilde, Ryan Ross, Jason Ross, Stacy (Kevin) Hauge, Stephanie (Cliff) Winn, Brandon Burchell, Joshua Ross, Sara Ross, Tony Ross, and Heather Pederson; and numerous great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, and husbands Robert Hoff and Richard Ross.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Friday, August 18, 2023 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Dan Doran officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 9-11AM Friday at the church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving the family with the arrangements. The family wishes to express our deep appreciation for the wonderful staff and residents at Dove Healthcare who made her feel welcome and one of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Dove Healthcare in Bloomer, Saving Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire or Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake.
