In Memory of Judith A. Ohm

March 31, 1932 - January 15, 2025

Judith A. Ohm, age 92, passed away peacefully at the Golden Age Manor, with her family at her side, on January 15, 2025. Judith was born on March 31, 1932 in Baldwin, WI to William E. and Ruth Hawley. She grew up in Baldwin and spent her summers on Lake Wapogasset. She graduated Valedictorian of the class of 1950.

Judith continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her degree in secondary education, teaching high school social studies in Baraboo, WI. She married another Badger, Kenneth Ohm, on June 23, 1956. Ken and Judy settled down in Edina, MN where they raised their four children. The next chapter of their lives was split between Lake Wapogasset in the summer and Fort Myers Beach, FL and Arizona in the winters.

Judy loved to be near the water. Whether it be sailing or kayaking on the lake, enjoying sunsets by the ocean or poolside, or hitting the frozen slopes from Trollhaugen to Colorado. All of these activities were centered around her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; siblings, William C. Hawley (Muriel) and Kent; brother-in-law, Edward Ohm and son, David.

Judy is survived by her children, Marcia of Amery, WI; Steven (Molly) of Redmond, Washington; and Karen Ohm of Amery. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lily (Elliot) Matison of Portland, OR; Tyler Rickenbach of Phoenix, AZ; Amelia Ohm of Madison, WI; Tara (Shepard) Johnson of Centennial, CO; Matthew (Cassi) Ohm of Madison, WI, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
