In Memory of Joyce Luella Hendricks Green
Joyce Luella Hendricks Green, 87, of Rice Lake died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Marshfield Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born September 14, 1936 in Crandon, WI to Ernest and Nola (Strauch) Rieper Herger.
Joyce had a heart of gold and a kind, gentle soul. She was happiest when helping others and never asked for anything in return. She was the most selfless and giving person, and she touched many, many hearts. She saw and appreciated the best in everyone. She truly was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Joyce was a tax professional at H&R Block for 38 years and waitressed at various area supper clubs for well over 35 years, retiring at age 76. Many of her clients and customers became her friends. She never stopped moving, even after she retired. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, baking, cooking, gardening, canning, bowling, good old Country music, live concerts, and an occasional casino run or road trip. She had a strong faith, and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her chilldren: Rose Marie (Don) Postle of Rice Lake, Henry "Butch" (Mary) Hendricks, Jr. of Woodville, Lyle "Tink" (Diane) Hendricks of Barnes,and Cindy (John) Muench of Barron; 13 grandchildren: Mike, Andy (Beth), D.J. (Maggie), David (Eva), Bobby (Megan), Christina, Greg (Elizabeth), Jeff, Carri, Erica (David), Samantha (Ben), Megan (Bobby) & Shelby (James); great-grandchildren: Brayden, Manzo, Matao, Rosie, Daisy, Annabella, William, Oliver, Caleb, Lucy, Joy, Victoria, Spencer, Warren, Willa, Taylor (Wyatt), Hunter, Darby, Maddi, Micah, Emmie, Colton, Maddelyn, Emilia, Audrey, Victoria, Sloane, Reagan; her fiancee, Floyd Pajak; brothers, John (Pat) Rieper of Cumberland, Kerry Rieper of Barron, Ron (Marcia) Rieper of Des Moines, IA, and Allen Rieper of Oakdale, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Fred, sister Christine Hergert, husbands, Hank Hendricks and Dick Green.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake.
