Joyce Evelyn Anderson Age 88, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Rice Lake.

She was born on July 22, 1934 in Wood Lake Township, WI to Charles and Florence (Peterson) Mattson.

She attended Wood Lake School and worked at Wright Products in Rice Lake for many years. She enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and farkle, listening to country music, watching westerns, gardening, reading and working on her word search books.

She is survived by 5 children, Sue Weise, Kathie Young, Cindy Anderson, Julie Hyllested and Chuck (Tammy) Anderson; 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; a sister, Eloise Anderson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Anderson; her parents, Charles and Florence Mattson; 4 sons-in-law, William Weise, Al Young, Gary Johnson and Bryan Hyllested; a sister, Violet Nahkala; 3 brothers, Rurick, Dennis and Franklin Mattson.

Funeral Services will be held at 6PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with private interment in the West Sweden Cemetery in Frederic, WI. Visitation will be held from 3-6PM Tuesday, May 30 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
