In Memory of Jolene D. Denotter
Jolene Dorothy Denotter, 63, of Webster passed away peacefully, February 2, 2023, after a long battle with cancer at Lakeview Medical Center, Rice Lake Wi.
She was born January 26, 1960, in Siren, WI to Wendell and Virginia (Hertel) Denotter.
She is survived by her sisters: Janice Denotter of Webster, Wendy Denotter of Spooner, Gayle (Rick) Atkinson of Hertel; brothers: Dale (Angie) Denotter of Clayton, and Wendell Denotter Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; nieces: Tammy (Brad) Kerr, Sydney Atkinson, Emma Denotter; nephews: Lucas Denotter, and Daniel Atkinson; many cousins, other family, dear friends and her best friend her kitty Sweetie Petie.
Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Virginia Denotter, her brothers Dennis and Daniel Denotter, Maternal grandparents Vernon and Dorothy Hertel, Paternal grandparents Richard and Bernice Denotter.
Jolene graduated from Siren High School in May of 1978 and proceeded to WITC of Rice Lake where she went to school for two years for accounting and graduated in 1980. She then worked at the Spooner DNR for six years. After a few years she moved on to UW-River Falls where she was the secretary to the Dean for two years and transferred to secretary to the professors for 10 years. She then moved on to become an Office Manager for two years at Home Spun tours in Rice Lake, WI before she went off to school in 1999 at WITC Rice Lake for Medical Terminology. She was a Medical Transcriptionist for 21 years until she was forced to retire due to her health reasons. She lived a beautiful life and lived every moment to the fullest. She travelled and saw the world with close friends and family. In her later years she loved going to farmers markets with her sisters and niece, going for walks in the woods during the fall when the leaves were gorgeous colors, loved to collect rocks and taking lots of pictures. She loved taking drives down the back roads with her sister just looking at the scenery, she loved family dinners, walks through the woods and listening to her books on tape, and just spending time with her family and many dear friends. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews that she loved as if they were her own. She also adored her best friend, her sweet kitten Sweetie Petie. He was always there for her and gave her so much love and companionship. She was a sweet, caring and beautiful soul that helped anyone she could in anyway and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM PM Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Skinner Funeral Home in Shell Lake. Family and friends will be able to share a special memory about Jolene from 1-2 PM. Burial will be at 2:30 PM PM at White Pine Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Atkinson, Sydney Atkinson, Lucas Denotter, Emma Denotter, Austin Denotter, and Shane Denotter.
