John Richard Barrington Age 83, of Rice Lake, WI, died Wednesday, September 6, 2022 in Rice Lake.

He was born on March 9, 1939 in St. Charles, Illinois to Henry and Marie (Gee) Barrington.

John graduated from St. Charles High School and then he entered the United States Air Force and was later Honorably Discharged. He was married to Marie Mathiowetz on December 28, 1963 in Wabasso, MN. John worked for many years as an Electronic Technician. He loved computers, computer hardware and circuit board hardware. John built his own TV and a simple computer. He enjoyed fishing and being with his dog, Patches.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Barrington; son, Michael (Cheryl) Barrington; daughter, Michele (Jeff) Paulson; a grandson, Nick Brownrigg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marie Barrington; 2 sisters, Patricia and Sharlene.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Deacon Rod Knight officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service.
