In Memory of John N. Haukeness

July 3, 1958 - February 6, 2024

John N. Haukeness, affectionately known as John to his friends and family, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on February 6th, 2024, in Frederic, Wisconsin. Born in the heart of Texas on July 3rd, 1958, John's journey was one marked by warmth, resilience, and a spirit of camaraderie that drew others to him.

Graduating from Luck High School in 1976, John carried with him not just the knowledge from his textbooks, but a treasure trove of friendships and memories. He was a man who valued the solidarity of community and the strength found in bonds forged over time.

John's professional life was a testament to his work ethic and versatility. He spent many years in the manufacturing sector, working with a plastic company where his precision and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. His skillset was diverse, having also worked within the electrical field, where he was known for his hands-on approach and problem-solving abilities.

Outside of work, John was a man of simple pleasures and enduring passions. He was an avid golfer, relishing the moments of quiet concentration on the green, and the friendly competition among peers. His love for the Green Bay Packers was a vibrant thread in the tapestry of his life, bringing him joy and a sense of belonging with every game.

John's life was further enriched by the love and companionship of his girlfriend, Tina Davis, with whom he shared 14 beautiful years. Together, they created a partnership filled with mutual respect, laughter, and an abundance of cherished memories.

He was a man who knew the value of family, and though he is preceded in death by his parents, John's legacy lives on through his beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Each family gathering was brighter.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a bit better... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." John embodied this sentiment, touching lives with his genuine kindness and leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

John N. Haukeness will be remembered not just for what he did, but for who he was: a man of integrity, warmth, and an unwavering zest for life. His story does not end with his passing, but continues in the memories he has left behind, the lives he has influenced, and the love he has inspired.

As we bid farewell to John, we celebrate the life of a man who was loved by many and whose spirit will continue to guide and comfort us in the days to come. His departure from this world is not an end but a transition, as his legacy endures through each life he has touched. John N. Haukeness will be dearly missed, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
