John David Hauser, 73, of Cumberland died , July 19, 2024 at Meadowbrook in Chetek. He was born August 15, 1950 in Almena, WI to John A. and Irma M. (Smith) Hauser. He was married in Hayward, WI on January 21, 2006 to Gleta Martin.

John faithfully attended Trinity Fellowship Church, had a strong faith in the Lord, and loved to read the Bible. He often spoke of longing to ‘go home’; his family takes great comfort in knowing that he is finally home with Jesus.

He loved fishing and got to introduce Gleta to the joys of it! He enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family, friends, and his church family. John also enjoyed attending gospel music events. His greatest desire was that his family and friends would also come to know the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Gleta Hauser; children, Jessie, Sarah and Matthew; four step children: Brandon Martin of Rhinlander, WI, Weston (Korilyn) Martin of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, Janae (Shane) Stutzman of Conrath, WI, and Clinton (Trina) Martin of Green Bay, WI; eight step grandchildren: Gavin, Nora, Caylin, Cashe, Abrielle and Gunnar Martin, and William and Justin Stutzman. John was preceded in death by his parents, John A. And Irma Hauser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Trinity Fellow Church located at 104 E Barker St. Rice Lake, WI with Pastor John Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Stahl, Clem Miller, Noah Kauffman, Mose Bontrager, Joni Kauffman, and Jonathon Kauffman. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland and one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Trinity Fellowship Church in care of the South African Orphanage.
