Joan Ebner Age 92, of Cameron, WI, died Sunday, September 10, 2023 in Rice Lake, WI.

She was born on May 30, 1931 in Ladysmith, WI to Ignatz “Natz” and Gertrude (Kazmierkoski) Odash.

She was married to William “Bud” Ebner on November 29, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake on a very cold morning! When her kids were young, she was a homemaker and took great pride in her house. Joan also worked for the Coke Factory, Rice Lake Creamery and later at the Bank of Cameron and Dairy State Bank She enjoyed taking care of her yard, gardening, canning, and baking. There were always homemade desserts after dinner and something special for Sunday morning breakfast. She passed on her love for baking to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the time when her grandchildren stayed with them. Their fondest memories are playing games with Grandma and their trips to the dollar store! And when they were here, she always made sure that she made their favorite foods. She was the cornerstone of our family—she took care of everyone that came into her house. She always wanted to make sure everyone was welcome, and was offered something to drink and eat.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bud” Ebner; 3 children, Mark Ebner, Bruce Ebner (Tammy Pearson), Terese (Paul) Fritchman; her ex daughter-in-law, Martha Ebner; 4 grandchildren, Eric (Melissa) Fritchman, Jennifer Ebner, Andrew Ebner and Anna (Dillon Salger) Fritchman; 2 great grandchildren; Lydia Fritchman and Hallie Fritchman; 2 sister-in-laws Pam Odash and Joan (Ebner) Rosenberger; 2 brother-in-laws, Robert Ebner and James Ebner; several nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents— Ignatz (Natz) and Gertrude (Kazmierkoski) Odash; an infant sister, Betty Lou; a brother Gerald Odash; a sister Marge Reek; a nephew, Glen Odash; 3 sisters-in-laws Jean Ebner, Bev Ebner and Mary Lou Lieberherr; and 2 brothers-in-law—John Lieberherr and Tom Rosenberger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Thursday, September 21, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-11AM Thursday, September 21 at the Church.
