In Memory of Jerry Folz


December 12, 1945 - January 12, 2022

Jerry Allen Folz Age 76, of Cameron, WI, left us on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Eau Claire, WI after a long fight with cancer.

He was born to Wilmer and Alma (Rauchenstein) Folz on December 12, 1945 in Rice Lake and then entered the United States Army, served during the Vietnam Era and was Honorably Discharged.

He was married to Pauline Lessard on January 18, 1969. Jerry worked for Advanced Food Products in the maintenance department in Clear Lake for over 30 years and also drove for Link Ford in Rice Lake after his retirement for over 8 years. Jerry was a man with a big heart. He was a Boy Scout leader for years, received the Silver Beaver Award. He did board of reviews for Eagle Scouts in the Blue Hills District. He was very involved in the Cameron Area Scholarship Foundation. Jerry worked with the Civic Club of Cameron. He enjoyed watching and going to the races. Jerry would help anyone that would need his help.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Folz; 2 sons, Jay (Lisa) Folz and Kevin (Dorothy) Folz; five grandchildren, Natalee (Eric) Mattmiller, Jordan Folz, Jami Folz, Zachary Folz and Jazmin Folz; two great grandchildren, Hallee and John; brothers, Merlyn (Barb), Rick (Carla), Don (Terri); sisters, Francis Kahl, Carol (Larry) Gardner, Alice (Allen) Evenson, Dorothy (Gary) Paulson, Kathy (David) Leake, Diane Gagner, Debra (Mark) Severson, Marilyn (Morris) Hanson; brother-in-law, Larry (Joyce) Lessard; sisters-in-law, Linda Christensen and Shelly Folz; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Alma Folz; a brother, David Folz; brothers-in-law, Donald Hafele and Charles Kahl; a nephew, Scott Neuman; a niece, Karen Burch.

A celebration of his life will be held from 11AM-2PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is handling the services for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
