
In Memory of Jeffrey C. Lauck
Jeffrey Clarence Lauck, age 71, passed away unexpectedly in his Balsam Lake home on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025
Jeff, aka “Wheels” was born on February 27th, 1954 to James E. and Elois Lauck Sr. in Amery, Wisconsin. He graduated High School in New Richmond, Wisconsin and shortly after married the first love of his life Brenda K. Merkt in 1975. Their marriage lasted 25 years with the outcome of three beautiful children.
Several years later he met his precious better half, Margaret (Midge) Wilson. Jeff and Margaret spent 20 plus years together engaging in countless adventures.
“Wheels” was a multi-talented and an avid entrepreneur. He was a successful salesman, business owner and proudly took on the responsible role of playing “Santa” at Christmas time to his grandbabies, Stella, Ruthie, Leo, Bailey, Nova and four step-grandbaby boys.
Jeff’s most important priorities were his family and friends. His selfless humble approach to life inspired all that were around him. It was evident in how much he enjoyed entertaining those he loved and was always welcoming in the newcomers.
“Wheels” had countless hobbies, including cooking, Christmas cookie baking, pontooning with his family, off roading on his ATV of choice, playing in the band, wheeling and dealing and traveling across the country with his four-legged companion, Fifi.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Elois Lauck and sweet girlfriend, Margaret Wilson.
Left to mourn are his three children, Jeffrey (Candis) Lauck, Justin “Chubs” (Amy Ericksen) Lauck and Jonell (Brady Salzman) Lauck; along with nine loving grandchildren; his father, James E. Lauck Sr.; brother, James E. (Veronica) Lauck Jr.; sister, Cindy (Tom) Ramberg; and many nieces, nephews and close family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, April 24th, 2025 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. A prayer service will begin at 7pm at the funeral home.
