Janice Ruth Welch Age 79, of Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Bloomer, WI.

She was born on October 14, 1943 in Troy, New York to Charles and Margaret (Giese) Herrington.

Janice graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1962. She was married to Conrad Welch on February 12, 1966 in Rice Lake. Janice worked for Jeromes Turkey Store, was a daycare provider and was a teacher's aide. She enjoyed baking, playing card games with family and friends, did a lot of volunteer work and loved being with her daughters and grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Melissa (James) Buchanan and Melinda (John) Bossany; 7 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kylie “Atticus”, Caleb, Brittney (Dean), Haley, Ashlea and Gavin; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Welch; her parents; 2 half sisters; and 3 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Assembly of God Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Alan Klasi officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake at a later date. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
