Janice Baumgartner, age 93, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Rice Lake.

She was born on March 24, 1932 in Sheboygan, WI to Max and Martha Boehm. After Janice graduated from High School she was married to Eugene Baumgartner on March 2, 1956 in Red Wing, MN. Janice was the secretary for Performance Engineered Products in Rice Lake and also worked for WalMart in Rice Lake. Janice loved working and socializing with people. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, watching Yellowstone, working in her yard, collecting different kinds of memorabilia, but most of all she adored her grandchildren. She was always looking to please you, had a beautiful and loving heart and would do anything for you. Her family was her priority.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Bob) Gagnon; 3 sons, Jerry (Barb) Baumgartner, Terry (Carole) Baumgartner and Kelly (Wendy) Baumgartner; 8 grandsons; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Sharon; a brother, David; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Baumgartner; her parents, Max and Martha Boehm.

A celebration of her life will be held from 11AM-1PM Friday, September 5, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at 2PM.
