In Memory of Jane Corty
Jane V. Corty (62) joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven as an Angel of God on March 23, 2021.
Jane was born to Douglas and Shirley Mariette on March 27, 1958 in Hennepin county MN. She spent her early childhood years there, moving in the early 70’s to a farm on Little Wood Lake, where she, her father, mother, brothers and sister continued their care and love of animals and farm life.
After high school Jane began work at (CCC) Burnett General Hospital at which time she fell in love with and married Roger Corty. They were blessed to celebrate 39 years of marriage. They have two boys, Paul and Michael. Later adding a daughter in-law Casey, and three grandchildren, Michaela, Journey, and Aurora.
Jane devoted her adult life to family and helping others any way that she could. Jane also worked part time as church secretary for Trinity Lutheran and later New Hope Lutheran churches where she was also instrumental in their children’s programs. She enjoyed reading and studying the bible & Christian books, listening to Christian music, gardening and spending time with family and family pets. Jane’s kind and generous heart made her many friends.
Jane leaves to mourn, her mother Shirley Mariette, sister Carol (Ralph) Bents, Brothers Jim (Darla) Mariette, and Tom Mariette. Jane’s husband Roger, children Paul (Casey) Corty, and Michael Corty. Grandchildren Michaela, Journey and Aurora Corty. Several brother and sister in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Douglas, an infant sister, Uncles Dennis (Alice) Mariette, Bud (Verna) Mariette, Morrie (Pat) Mariette. Sister and brother in-laws Darlene &Gary Corrier, Kathleen &Robert Larson, and nephew William Lauer.
Jane’s family thanks St Croix Hospice for their outstanding care, compassion and help in making Jane comfortable during the last few months.
Services for Jane will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church in Grantsburg Wi. On Sat. 3-27-21. With viewing being from 10:AM until 11:AM, Christian service beginning at 11:AM, burial will follow service at Wolf Creek cemetery. A light lunch will follow at T-Dawgs convention center in Grantsburg from 1: to 3:.
