James “Jamie” “Theo” Saxinger Age 53, of Birchwood, WI, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 in Rice Lake.

He was born on August 20, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Jr. and Kathleen (Connor) Saxinger.

Jamie graduated from Rich East High School in 1988 and then he attended and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1995 with a degree in Economics. He worked for Republic Services as a driver for several years and received a National Title Award from the company. He adored the music of the Grateful Dead and was a beloved Chicago Bears fan.

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Mintari; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Cyndi Saxinger; a sister, Kristina Bowen; his girlfriend and the love of his life, Jodi Barrett; 2 nephews, Frank (JoDean) Saxinger and Jacob Saxinger; stepmother, Cabrini Jablon; his best friend, Leslie Amonino; his beloved dogs, Bear and Payton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Saxinger and stepfather, Robert Mintari.

Private family services will be held at 5PM Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with private visitation to be held from 2-5PM. A public celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 3PM- ? at Cedar Lake Grill in Mikana, WI.
