In Memory of James Nolby
James (Jim) Allen Nolby, age 86, a resident of Webster, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
Jim was born on December 27, 1934 in Braham, Minnesota to Lawrence Kenneth and Irene (Olson) Nolby.
Jim worked at Honeywell for 37 years as a Regional Production Manager. He retired in November of 1990.
Jim married the love of his life, Maxine Mott, on July 16, 1955 at Siloa Lutheran Church in Day, Minnesota.
Jim was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially golf, but also fishing and hunting, trap shooting, and driving his family around on the pontoon. Jim was a past member and president of the Wild River Shriners, an active member of Yellow Lake Church serving on their council in many capacities, and also volunteered at Forts Folle Avoine.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; twin infant brothers at birth; sister, Betty; and brother, Robert.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Maxine; children, Cindy (Bob) Bushey, Craig (Brenda) Nolby, Brian (Jean) Nolby, Cris (Jim) Petrangelo; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He will always be remembered by his children and grandchildren by how much he adored each and every one of them, and how he made each one feel special. They all knew how proud he was of his family and feel honored to be a part of his legacy.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM (visitation 1:00-3:00 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. With Pastor Ralph Thompson and Pastor Doug Olson. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Sand Greens Country Club (28281 French Rd, Danbury, WI 54830).
