James C. Olson, Sr., age 85 of Osceola, Wisconsin passed away on April 6, 2025 at the Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin. He was born in Red Wing, Minnesota on August 25, 1939 to parents Herschel Sr. and Katherine Olson.

Jim married Mavis Smith on May 2, 1959 and then entered and spent time in the Air Force from 1961 – 1965. They were blessed with 4 children. James spent his career working at Hamm’s Brewery for 20 years, owned the Roller Rink in Osceola from 1979- 1984, and he also owned and operated Quality Auto Parts for another 17 years, along with being employed at the Highway Department, and also running a hobby farm. He enjoyed the flea markets in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and in Florida where they wintered.

Jim will be remembered for his kindness and love for his family. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to express their gratitude to Adoray’s Hospice team for their compassion and support during Jim’s Final Days.

James is preceded in death by his wife Mavis; son Dustin, and 4 siblings. He is survived by his children James Jr., Shelly (Bill) Babineau, and Julie (Rich) Struemke; 7 grandchildren Brittany (Mike Dunham) Olson, Brian (Michelle) Babineau, Kristy (Craig) Olson, Mark (Sara) Babineau, Sarah (Blake) Peskar, Steven Struemke, and Brandon (Rachel) Struemke; 12 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Doris Olson and Pat Olson; brother-in-law Darrel (Peggy) Smith; and many other relatives and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Wounded Warrior Project in Jim’s honor.
