In Memory of Hope A. Healy

November 25, 1937 - February 27, 2024

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Hope A. Healy, 86, was reunited with Emery, on what would have been their 70th Wedding Anniversary. She passed peacefully at Regions Hospital as family surrounded her, during her transition to the Lord’s arms.

Hope was born November 25, 1937 to Donald and Lura Robinson in Owatonna, MN where she lived as a young child. Hope was raised in Mapleton MN until she married.

Hope was united in marriage with Emery E. Healy on February 27, 1954 and a few years later this young couple purchased a small farm and moved to Maple Valley Farm outside Frederic WI. This union was blessed with four children. Hope earned her 2-year license at the Polk County Teachers College and went on to earn her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education from University of Wisconsin – Superior. Hope taught Middle School Science, and then English, in the Siren School District for the next 39 years. Many of those summers, when she wasn’t in the classroom, she was in the passengers’ seat of Emery’s Peterbilt as they crisscrossed the country hauling produce.

Hope had a strong faith and found comfort in her church. She was involved in church council and the women’s group, served as a church Grandma, and liked serving fellowship coffee after services. She enjoyed spending time quilting, gardening, golf, having coffee and breakfast with “the girls”, and playing bridge. But above all else, she valued her family. Family gatherings, whether holidays or just weekends together were treasured. She also had a fondness for any Dairy Queen treat ever made!

Hope was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Healy, daughter, Patti Lynn Healy, and her parents, Donald and Lura Robinson. She is survived by her children: Cheri (Jeff) Moats, Tammi (Dennis) Wiberg, and Emery David (Shelly) Healy; 8 grandchildren: Devin Moats, Michael (Andrea) Moats, Erica (Charles) Balcerek, Heather (Ben) Wyatt, Christopher (Michelle) Wiberg, Benjamin Wiberg, Aaron (Anita) Healy, and Meghan Healy; 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Priscilla Robinson, and brother Bruce (Nancy) Robinson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on March 5th 11:00, with a visitation preceding the services. Internment to take place at Maple Grove Cemetery following services.

The Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic assisted the family with arrangements.
