Gwyn Marie Smith Age 71, of Rice Lake, WI died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 17, 1953 in Rice Lake to John “Bud” and Marjorie (Avery) Eastman. Gwyn graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1971 and was married to David Smith August 26, 1976 in Prairie Lake Township, WI. Gwyn loved being a wife, mother and especially a grandmother. Her family was her whole life.

She is survived by her husband, David Smith; 2 children, Derek (Elizabeth) Smith and Brook (Steve) Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Izzy Johnson, Leah Johnson and Lucas Smith; 2 sisters, Nancy (Dick) Olson and Betty Anderson (Tim Nispel); her lifelong best friend, Carol Meisner; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Bud” and Marjorie Eastman; 3 brothers, Richard, Gerald and Chester Eastman.

A celebration of her life will be held from 10-11AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake with a prayer service at 11AM.
