In Memory of Glen "Pat" Patrick Taylor


May 23, 1940 - May 29, 2025

Glen "Pat" Patrick Taylor, 85, of Grantsburg, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Burnett Medical Center. He was born on May 23, 1940, in Frederic to the late Ollie and Lolita (Spooner) Taylor. Pat graduated from Webster High School in 1958. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1960 and honorably served until 1963. Following his service, he attended the Bureau of Indian Affairs Law Enforcement Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico and eventually joined the Burnett County Sheriff's Department. He started as a Sheriff's Deputy and also served as a jailer and dispatcher until his retirement. He was a proud member of the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin, having the name of Ma'iingan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, endless cups of black coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Taylor; his children, Tonja (Wade) Honeysett, Greg (Normita) Taylor, Tammy (Jim) Goad, David Taylor, Trisha (Brock) Davis, and PJ Taylor; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Bradley Taylor; and his brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Hertel Tribal Ceremonial Hall, 24844 Angeline Ave., Webster, WI. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1, at the Hertel Tribal Ceremonial Hall at 10:00 a.m. Glen will be laid to rest at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner with full military honors.
