Gilbert Leroy Livingston of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, went to be with his Lord on May 10, 2024. He was 101 years old.

Born in Dewey Township on December 12,1922 to George Gorham and Alice (Whitford) Livingston, he graduated from Shell Lake High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and was a WWII Veteran. On June 15, 1947, he married the love of his life, Mary Cleora Johnson. They were happily married for 75 years until her death in 2022.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his sisters Stella Cusick, Valerie Nielson, his brother Dudley Livingston, his son David, and great grandson Kyle Besseler. He is survived by a sister Shirley Stowell, children Vicki, Jeanette (Bill) Lee, James (Karen) and Gary (Mary) along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trego Community Church, 5635 Park St, Trego, WI. On May 31, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with a 1-hour visitation prior to the service. A 1:00 PM inurnment at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery will follow a reception at the church.
