Gerald John Dockendorf, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2021.

Gerald was born on December 3, 1945, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Pearl Dockendorf.

Gerald married the love of his life, Lynnetta Swan on July 7, 1990, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and especially loved duck hunting with his son Gerry and grandsons Dalton, Jordan, Michael, Daniel, and Charlie. Gerald enjoyed fishing and has fished in many lakes and rivers from the Mississippi River all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Gerald was a member of the American Legion in Centuria, Wisconsin and was a proud Vietnam Veteran.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, John, and Pearl; sister, Renee; and brother-in-law, Garry Petersen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynnetta. They spent 50 good years together; children, Dawn (Frank) Fischer, Beverly (Brad) Lowrey, David, Brian (Maylene) Dockendorf, Angela (Tony Pedretti) Finney, Gerald (Jenny) Dockendorf; sisters, Elaine Schroeder, Carol (Ken) Kromery, Corrine (Walt) Argetsinger; brothers, Roger Dockendorf, Alvin (Donna) Dockendorf, Jim (Linda) Dockendorf; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; special family friend, Tina (Erik) Breckner who loved and helped care for Gerald in his last few months. We are forever grateful for her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. A graveside service will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin at 2:00 PM following the visitation.
