Georgian K. Borchsenius, age 82, a resident of Siren, WI., passed away on June 10, 2024 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Georgian was born on November 5, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Peter and Mary (Matich) Kruzicevich.

Georgian married the love of her life, William Borchsenius on July 18, 1964 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.

Georgian worked as a elementary school teacher for over 44 years. Some of the places she taught at were Chicago, IL., Minneapolis, MN., then in Siren, WI. Georgian was also a AA sponsor to many people and was sober 47 years prior to her passing.

In Georgian’s free time she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved gardening, reading and dancing.

She will be forever missed by her husband of 60 years; brother, Peter (Judy) Kruzicevich; 3 special nieces, Joyce Strub, Kathy Kopp and Sue Kruzicevich. She is also survived by many of her AA friends and sponsees.

The memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 6:00 PM (visitation from 5-6 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI. with Deacon Stan Marczak officiating.
