Gary Alan Hanson Age 69, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 6, 1954 in Rice Lake to Willie and Delores (Kuhrt) Hanson.

Gary graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1972. He farmed with his father on their land for many years. Gary also was an antique dealer and loved going to auctions and looking at antiques. He enjoyed going to Hungry Hollow Steam and Gas Engine Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching the Green Bay Packers and being with his family, friends and colleagues.

He is survived by 2 children, Chris (Brittany) Hanson and Miranda Hanson; 3 grandchildren, Alayna Hanson, Isaac Hanson and Nevada Hanson; 6 siblings: Betty Nelson, Shirley (Gordy) Nelson, Judy (Steve) Ludwigson, Diane (John) Olsen, Dean (Sue) Hanson and Curt (Connie) Hanson; his stepmother, Rose Hanson and her 4 daughters and their family; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Delores Hanson; a brother, Kenneth and infant brother, Daryl.

A celebration of his life will be held from 4-7PM Monday, October 23, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake.
