Ervin “Erv” Louis Kraft Jr. Age 69, of Cameron, WI, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Barron, WI.

He was born on November 14, 1954 in Kenosha, WI to Ervin Sr and Kathleen (Fredrick) Kraft. Erv graduated from St. Mary’s Springs in Fond du Lac, WI in 1972 and then graduated in Ag Short Course from UW Madison in 1974. He was married to Carol Loecher on June 22, 1974 in Fond du Lac, WI. Erv dairy farmed for many years in Maple Grove Township, WI. Erv loved farming, John Deere Tractors and knew everything, just like an encyclopedia.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Kraft; 4 children, Ervin (Julie) Kraft, Ben (Sandee) Kraft, Melissa (Jason) Couture and Margaret (Joe) Van De Voort; 13 grandchildren, Amber, Ervie, Mary, Halle, Matthew, Clayton, Wesley, Leah, Bradley, David, Andrew, Violet and Iris; 3 great grandchildren, Jaxson, Jameson and Jensen; 2 brothers, Charles (Mary) Kraft and Fred Kraft; 2 sisters, Sharon Schmechel and Karon Kraft; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timmy; a granddaughter, Renee; his parents, Ervin and Kathleen Kraft; and a sister, Kris.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 22, 2024 (which would be their 50th Wedding Anniversary) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Adam Laski officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Friday, June 21, 2024 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Joseph Catholic Church or School.
