Elsie Alice Miller, 89, of Rice Lake died Monday, November 6, 2023, at Lakeview Medical Center.

She was born September 17, 1934, in Connersville, WI to Ernest and Elizabeth (Kluser) Schmidt. She was married in 1959 to Richard Miller who preceded her in death.

She was an avid gardener; she took great pride in her tomatoes. She enjoyed watching the birds, was a talented seamstress, and loved taking trips to Arby’s to get vanilla shakes (which were her favorite). Elsie was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Rice Lake; joining in 1957 as one of the first members. She had a heart to serve and gave diligently.

She is survived by her son, Loren Miller; daughter, Lori (Howard) Miller; sister, June (Ronald) Schleiss; cousins, and other family and friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Neil Miller; and her numerous siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake. Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1 PM.
