Elizabeth "Lisa" Hadlich, age 66, of Cumberland passed at home on Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born on August 23, 1957 to Theodore and Lois (Hed) Newhouse, and was raised in White Bear Lake, MN. Lisa quickly found home in Cumberland after moving here as a teen.

Lisa will be remembered for having the biggest heart, and being the most kind human. She loved gardening, her flowers, and nature (and ALL its creatures!). She had a great sense of humor, including the rare ability to laugh at herself. There was nothing she cherished more than sharing conversation over a cup of coffee with those she loved - besides, her grandkids, and granddogs, of course. They were her world. Lisa wore her sobriety proudly. She recently shared that her "one wish was to pass away sober", and she succeeded in meeting that goal, despite her recent pain and struggles. She owes part of her success to the support from her community at the Cumberland and Turtle Lake AA groups, who she was so grateful for.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Christina (Justin) Gullicksrud and Erika (Taylor) Matthys; beloved grandchildren, Olivia and James Matthys; siblings, Nancy Newhouse and Ted (Denise) Newhouse.

Preceded in death by parents, Ted and Lois Newhouse and brother, Carl Newhouse.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be held at Skinner Funeral Home Cumberland, from 4 PM - 7 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024. Honorary pallbearers are Taylor Matthys, Justin Gullicksrud, Adam Newhouse, James Matthys, and Olivia Matthys.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to share a cup of coffee with someone you love in her remembrance.
