In Memory of Douglas Robert Seddon


February 22, 1941 - December 16, 2018

Douglas Robert Seddon, age 47, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a brain injury on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

Doug was born February 22, 1971 in Hayward, the son of Terry and Jackie Seddon. He was raised in Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School in 1989. Growing up, he helped his family run Pat’s Landing Resort. Doug was a gifted carpenter and eventually started his own business, Seddon Construction. He also owned and operated Doug’s Boat Storage. He built his own home at the age of twenty-two. During his career he built numerous homes and did remodeling on many others in the Hayward area.

Doug loved to be outside and never slowed down for anything. He enjoyed boating, jet skiing, waterskiing and snowmobiling. Other hobbies included restoring classic cars, building RC cars and traveling to Nascar races and Packer games. He collected anything Corvette, Camaro and John Deere.  He loved spending time with his nephews and never minded getting out of the way so the boys could drive his tractors.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Jackie Seddon of Hayward; his sister, Kari (Shiloh) Snider of Hayward; his nephews, Sam and Luke, his aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends and his pocket beagle Shelby.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, Terry; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Hayward Wesleyan Church, 10655 Nyman Avenue in Hayward.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Couderay, WI.

Pallbearers: Greg Argetsinger, Ricky Fricano, Bernie Reich, Shiloh Snider, Dale Ursprung and Bruce Wick.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sam and Luke Snider
