Dorothea Beecroft, 93, of Frederic, WI passed away at home May 13, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born December 15, 1928 at the Island City Hospital in Cumberland, WI, to Gottlieb and Ida (Alvina) Gohl.

Dorothea spent her life devoted to teaching children of all ages, playing piano and sharing her love of music, and spending time with her family. She loved to go dancing with Bill, traveling, entertaining residents at various nursing homes throughout the area, playing cards, reading books, and going to as many events for her grandkids and great grandkids as she could.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years William “Bill” Beecroft, Sister Elnore Kuhl, daughters Jane (Brock) Gibson and Virginia Beecroft, son Dan (Alexandra Till) Beecroft, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close family members.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, several siblings and brother/sister in laws, son Ken (Diana) Beecroft, and many other relatives that helped welcome her home.

A Celebration of Life memorial gathering will be held at Coyland Creek on Sunday, June 5 from 2-7pm.
