Dora Gertrude Erna Gierth, 84, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at her residence.

Dora was born on October 21, 1937, in Germany.

Dora loved to dance and was an amazing knitter, she would make afghans, hats and mittens for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gambling and having a few cocktails and was quick to respond with some sort of comeback. She was witty and made people laugh. She will be truly missed.

Dora leaves to celebrate her memory: her children: Darlene Haines, Brewer, Maine, David Nelson, Milaca, Minnesota, Diane Nelson, Hastings, Minnesota, Debra Johnson, Princeton, Minnesota and Darrell Nelson, Brook Park, Minnesota, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Heinz Schultz, sister, Bridgett Gierth, grandson, Jason Shea, and the love of her life James Kvale.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Pastor Angey Kutney will officiate the service.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
