In Memory of Donald Larsen
Donald C Larsen died August 13, 2021 in Luck WI.
Don was born to parents Carl and Esther Larsen in 1925 in Milltown, WI.
He spent his childhood in Milltown Don left at age 18 with the US Army for 2 years in the Pacific during WW11. He returned in 1945 to the love of his life, Lorraine Hansen. They were married in Luck in 1947. After spending a few years in Minneapolis and Superior, WI, they returned to Luck to make it their lifelong home. He retired at age 62, and happily spent several winters in Florida during his retirement years.
The majority of his adult working years, Don was known as the “candy man". A salesman who was remembered as the happy, smiling guy greeting and delivering to his weekly clients for Carlson Candy of Luck. Don embraced and loved his family and friends. He was often remembered by one of his many sayings "who has more fun?!/!"
Don is survived by his two children. Jan C. Redmond (Joseph) of Oldsmar, FL. And Dean C, Larsen (Kimberly) of Eau Claire, WI. Many Nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grandnieces. His wife, Lorraine of 72 years, passed in 2018.
Memorial donations may be made to Luck Lutheran Church or Luck Alumni Scholarship Association.
A memorial service will be held at Luck Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 19, 2021at 11:00 am with a 1 hour gathering before the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home, and the Northwest Wisconsin Cremation Center in Milltown.
