Don Meck, age 83, a resident of Siren, WI passed away suddenly on September 9th, 2023.

Don Meck was born in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Arden Hills, MN where he attended the District 7 one room school. He graduated from Mounds View High School and the University of Minnesota. He worked for many years in the insurance industry.

Don was an avid athlete. His favorite sport was the triathlon. He qualified to represent Team USA in the World Age Group Championships several times. He loved to encourage others to try the sport.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Les and Peg Meck; and brothers, Bill and Dick.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Betty; two daughters, Karen and Wendy; son-in-law, Chris; granddaughter, Lily; brother-in-law, Herb (Judy); and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22nd from 11:00 am-12:30 pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral home in Webster, WI. A funeral service will take place at 12:30pm with a burial at Lakeview Cemetery (Mud Hen Lake).

Memorials are preferred to the family to be used towards local youth organizations.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
