In Memory of Dennis R. Frolik
Dennis Rudolph " Denny" Frolik, 75, of Rice Lake peacefully passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Shell Lake Health Care Center with his family by his side.
He was born March 28, 1947, in Rice Lake, WI to Louie and Martha (Subrt) Frolik.
He was married in Barron, WI on May 16, 1987 to Barbara Etlicher.
Denny was most passionate about his time on the water both winter and summer. He was an avid fisherman. Denny enjoyed traveling and has seen all 50 states in his travel journeys. Denny's most recent trip was to Alaska with his loving wife Barbara.
Denny was loved by many and never at a loss for words. Anyone who knew him knows him for his kind heart and contagious smile!
He served in the U.S Navy from October 1967 to August of 1971. Post military he obtained a vocational degree in telephone service repair. He spent the next 38 years working at GTE in many different roles. After he retired from the phone company in 2007, Denny decided he needed to start his second career and accepted a position in Custodial Services at the Cameron School District. He worked there the last 9 years and most recently retired in June of 2022.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son Jeffrey Frolik (Terri Wagener), daughter Kelly Flach (Brad); 2 grandchildren Jesse Frolik and Hailey Flach; stepchildren: Kim, Gary, Sheri, and Brent; 12 step grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; 1 brother; 1 sister and special fur friend Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Martha Frolik.
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Shell Lake Health Care Center and Marshfield Medical Center Hospice for their compassionate care of Denny.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Sunday August 14th at Skinner Funeral Home, Rice Lake - 637 N. Main.
