David Steiner, age 63, of Spooner, WI passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, after a short battle with cancer in his home.

David was born on January 25, 1960, in Prairie du Chein, WI, to parents Roger Steiner and Milda Brainerd. David got an early GED and put himself though welding school and began his career as a welder at the age of 18. His welding career took him to the Carolinas where he lived for some time. Once he made his way back to Wisconsin, he began building a cabin in Spooner, WI so he would have a place to stay while visiting his mother. While David was building his cabin, he met the love of his life, Char (Barr) Corcoran and his cabin became his forever home with Char.

David loved going to the casino and used his winnings to purchase a pontoon that him and Char enjoyed lounging on together. He was an outdoorsman and like to go hunting, fishing, and watching the wildlife out the window of his home.

David is survived by the love of his life, Char and her son, Jason Brousseau; stepchildren, Michael, Chrissy, Lance, and Lori Kuykendall; mother, Milda (Alyn Graup) Brainerd; siblings, Nick (Marietta) Steiner, Shelly (Steve Carlson) Galloway, Scott (Roxanne) Steiner; and many nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roger.
