In Memory of Darwin D. Draisey
Darwin Delno Draisey, age 89, of Dresser, WI, passed away peacefully Friday, February 2, 2024 at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in St. Croix Falls, WI.
Darwin “Dar” was born in Mitchell, South Dakota on May 23, 1934 to parents Carl and Annetta (Wilson) Draisey.
Darwin married his high school sweetheart June Lilledahl with whom he had 3 children; Darann, Scott, and Bradley. June passed away in 1991. The following year, he met Danita Johnson Hensler, whose husband had also just passed away in his sleep. They met in January of 1992 and were married in September of the same year; spending 31 great years together, traveling all over the world. They eventually settled into their dream home on Poplar Lake in Dresser, Wisconsin.
Dar had many jobs in the electric field. He was President of a union in Minneapolis and leader of their Apprentice program, Head Electrician for Grain Belt Brewery, and Chapter Manager for NECA in Duluth for 14 years. He ended his career as a field representative in the Midwest region for NECA. (National Electric Contractors Association.)
He is survived by his loving wife, Danita; daughter, Darann (Keith) Wenger; son Scott; 2 step-children; and many grandkids, great grand-kids, other extended family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, June; son, Bradley; grandson, Steve; and sisters, Sona and Sandy.
Celebration of Life for Darwin will be held at a later date that is still yet to be determined. Burial to follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
