In Memory of Daniel B. Miller

April 24, 1943 - February 19, 2023

Daniel B. Miller was born on April 24, 1943 to Ben and Anna (Yoder) Miller, in Holmes County, Ohio. He went to be with his Savior on February 19, 2023, surrounded by his wife and family after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, his Faith was very precious to him to the end.

He was married to me, Mary E. Miller on December 3, 1964 in Holmes County, Ohio. We moved our family and dairy farm to Wisconsin in 1983. Dad enjoyed dairy farming and working together with his children. Dad taught us the value of hard work. He was a handyman and could fix almost anything. In later years he left dairy farming and raised turkeys and enjoyed his sheep. Fishing and hunting were hobbies he enjoyed with his grandchildren. He had many good times with neighbors and friends, and enjoyed the simple things in life, leaving us with many happy memories.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children: Laura and Brad Friesen of Barron, WI, Cindy and Ron Buller of Elkton, SD, Rosanna and Merle Friesen of Buhl, ID, Wes and Loretta Miller of Almena, WI, Christina and Arlen Wiggers of Cumberland, WI, Becky and Stanford Bender of Westby, WI, and Crist and Elmina Miller of Barron, WI; 31 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and 2 sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by a great grandson, his parents, and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be held at Gospel Mennonite Church, Almena on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and again from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, at Gospel Mennonite Church at 10:30 AM with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Skinner Funeral Home is serving the family.
