In Memory of Cynthia Thomas
Cynthia “Cindy” Kathleen (Westlund) Thomas was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who left our world on January 14, 2022 to go home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Born on July 28, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to Carl H. and Jane K. Westlund. She married Steven M. Thomas in August of 1986 where they enjoyed 35 wonderful years together moving to Siren, WI in 1997.
During Cynthia’s earlier years she worked for Lake Geneva Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce then went on to working for AlfaLaval/DeLaval as executive Secretary to the VP of the company which entailed a move to the East Coast. Moving back to the Midwest she began doing freelance art work.
Cynthia had a very creative and artistic side. Her hobbies included doll making, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, weaving and spinning her own wool. She was always up for a challenge never stopped learning something new.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Jane Westlund; son, Kent M. Wahlen and sister, Barbara J. Bowman.
Cynthia will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Steven; her daughter, Kerry (Dr. Michael) Sherman; two granddaughters, Brittaney (Erik) Rank and Brigitte (Mark) Donato; three very special great grandchildren, Emma, Evan, and Brayden Rank; her cousins, niece, friends and her special lifelong friend, Laurel Fredeen.
A Celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held at a later date.
