In Memory of Connie Andersen
Constance “Connie” Andersen, age 95, of Shell Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Spooner Health in Spooner, WI.
Connie was born on October 23, 1928, in Spooner, WI, to parents Edmond and Ellen (Joseph) McGlinnen. Connie graduated from Spooner High School in 1946. Connie worked at Ben Franklin until she was 18, and from 18 to 20 years old she worked as the Deputy City Clerk. In 1950 Connie married the love of her life, Vernon Anderson, in Spooner. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to St. Louis where Connie supported Vernon through chiropractic college. After his graduation in 1954 they moved to Boyceville, WI until 1969, then moved to Eau Claire, WI. While in Eau Claire Vernon opened Andersen Chiropractor where Connie was the office manager. The couple retired to their cabin in Shell Lake, WI in 1995 and finally made their way back to Spooner in 2009.
Connie was extremely family and faith oriented. Her passion in life was to take care of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Connie is survived by her children, Mary Anderson, and Joe (Erin) Andersen; grandchildren, Jenny, Jeff, Becca, Ryan, Nate, Sam, and Mackenzie; great grandchildren, Arionah, Beau, Channelle, Milo, Pierce, Liem, Jackson, and Kota; sister Dorothy Villella; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; son, Timothy Andersen; and siblings, Edmond Andersen and Elizabeth Severson.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday May 16, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales in Spooner at 11:00 AM with a visitation 30 minutes prior. An interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
