In Memory of Colleen Moravec
Colleen Emaline Waltenburg Moravec, age 84, of Clear Lake, WI passed away on November 20, 2021 in Amery Hospital after a brief battle with Covid pneumonia.
Colleen was born on August 29, 1937 to the late Lennie & Edna (Wilson) Waltenburg in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
She is survived by daughters Collette (Mark) Swanson; Corrine Moe; Linda (Bill) McIntire; and son Ken (Linda Lee) Arnold; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great, great granddaughter; siblings Doyle (Florence) Waltenburg, Sharon Hubbard, Edna Sunda, in-law siblings David and Mary Lou Arnold, Bev and Terry Mitchell, and Curt Arnold, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents Lennie and Edna Waltenburg, brothers Duane Waltenburg, William Waltenburg and Patrick Waltenburg, husband, Winfield Moravec, and sister-in-law and good friend Anne Louise Raehsler.
Throughout her life, Colleen enjoyed raising her kids on a dairy farm in Range, WI. She was known for being a hard worker at her jobs at Bellanca in Osceola, Golden Age Manor in Amery, and Hardees where she developed life-long friendships with Roxy Klink and Judy Measner.
Colleen was known to be generous with what little she had, often helping others with practical needs. Her hobbies included dancing, playing piano, singing (and she could yodel!) travels with her second husband, Win and living on Lake Wapogasset, spending time with her children and grandchildren, embroidery, and of course, BINGO. She loved taking drives out in the country and looking at all the beauty of nature and sometimes stopping to watch the deer dance in circles in front of her car.
A memorial will be held sometime next summer in Clear Lake, WI.
Arrangements were made with the Williamson-White Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Amery.
