In Memory of Cody D. Petersen
Cody David Petersen, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2022 at the Spooner Hospital in Spooner, WI.
Cody was born on January 18, 1993 in Amery, WI to parents James and Amy (Maack) Petersen.
Cody graduated from Webster High School in 2011. After graduation he became a jack of all trades, experiencing life through many occupations; from card dealer at the Hole In The Wall Casino to making dumpsters at Nedland Industries, and N-tech where they made manure handling equipment, along with working at many dairy farms in the area. He returned home to help his brother on the family dairy farm while having many non-farm jobs, he worked at Johnsons Repair, Petersen Excavating, and his last non-farm job was at Wagner’s Cabinets.
Cody loved spending time with the people he cared about. He had a passion for cooking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, lawncare and taking care of his animals. He often saved a dog or cat by taking them home and surprising his mom. Cody was a giver; if he had $10 and you needed help, it was yours. He had a knack for putting others before himself.
Cody had a mischievous wit. He often wore t-shirts with funny quotes and was known for his humorous comments, said with a twinkle is his eye.
Cody is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Maack.
He will be greatly missed by his parents, James and Amy; paternal grandparents, Wilkie and Rita Petersen; maternal grandfather, David Maack; the love of his life, Lynsie Hayes; brother, Tony Petersen; half-brother, Nathan (Molly) Petersen; niece, Aubrie; nephew, Kegan; and many other family members and friends.
