Christine Lynn Morrison (Maasiinookwe), age 49, a resident of Hertel, Wisconsin passed away on June 14, 2021, at her residence in Webster.

Christine was born on March 18, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert Billy and Maryann Morrison.

Christine worked at the St. Croix Government Center for 15 years as the Assistance for the Human Resource Director. She really enjoyed her job. She was currently working for the St. Croix Casino Hertel Express.

She enjoyed spending her time with her family. She also like to read, go fishing, playing pool, bowling, and gaming. Christine was a people person and could talk to anyone and everyone. She was an active member in her community, and she enjoyed being able to work with the youth and elders.

Christine is preceded in death by her mother, Maryann; and son, Nathon Bauer Sr.

She is survived by her son, Kyle Bauer; brother, Vernon Morrison; sisters, Venessa Morrison Leslie (Jake Didier) Billy, Lisa Burkhardt; grandson, Nathon Bauer Jr., Devon Bauer Morrison; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 17,2021 at 10:00 AM at the St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel, Wisconsin with Francis Songetay officiating. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 4:00. Interment will follow service at Sand Lake Cemetery, LaFollette Township, Wisconsin. Pallbearers will be Coen Burkhardt, Ryan Decorah, Duane Emery, Neil Oustigoff Sr., Jeromy Lambert, Jacob. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Burkhardt, Patrick Decorah, Zachary Howard, Mitchell LaSarge, Gage Linderman.
