In Memory of Chester A. Eastman
Chester “Chet” Alan Eastman Age 76, of Cameron, WI, died Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 5, 1947 in Rice Lake, WI to John and Marjorie (Avery) Eastman.
Chet attended school in Rice Lake and then entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Era and was Honorably Discharged. He was married to Janet Betcher on August 25, 2006 in Wall, South Dakota. He worked for Curtis Mathes Televisions in Duluth, MN and then Chet and Jan raised, kenneled and raced Greyhound dogs for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and crafting items for flea markets that they enjoyed going to.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Eastman; a son, John Eastman; 3 sisters, Nancy (Dick) Olson, Betty Anderson (Tim Nispel), and Gwyn (Dave) Smith; 2 sisters-in-law, Tammy Eastman and Marie Eastman; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Eastman; a stepdaughter, Brenda Diercks; 2 brothers, Richard “Dick” Eastman and Gerald “Jerry” Eastman.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at New Hope Pentecostal Church, 2059 15th Ave., Cameron, WI, with Rev. Greg Welke officiating, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake where Military Rites will be accorded him by the Rice Lake Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.
