In Memory of Charlotte Ann Anderson


November 11, 1937 - July 20, 2024

Charlotte Ann Anderson, age 86 of Barron, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024.

Charlotte was born on November 11, 1937 at home in Almena to Charles and Veronica (Weber) Stauner. Charlotte was the 11th of 13 children. She worked as a waitress at a local diner where she met Marvin. They married on May 13th, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Almena.

Charlotte stayed at home raising their 3 children, Debbie, Fred and Joan until her children were older when Charlotte then worked outside of the home. Charlotte worked at Twin Town Cheese (Suputo Cheese) factory for 10 years. After leaving that job, she stayed home for a while until she then found enjoyment working as a housekeeper at Barron Care and Rehab Center.

When her husband Marv retired, Charlotte then joined him. Charlotte was a devoted Catholic, attending weekly mass and bible study classes. She enjoyed working in her multiple flower gardens, painting acrylic landscapes, playing piano and her love for reading.

Surviving are her children, Deborah (Jerry) Carpenter of Almena, Fred (Char) Anderson of Turtle Lake and Joan (Brett) Riberich of New Richmond; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Bartylla of Barron, Veronica St. Louis of Cameron and Gerhardt (Mary Alice) of Minnetonka, MN; and a gaggle of nieces and nephews that adored her.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marv; brothers, Raymond, Francis, Paul and Leo Stauner; sisters, Odelia Rischette, Mary Peterson, Irene Michener, Agnes Feidt and Dorothy Rischette.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barron on Friday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Almena.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
