In Memory of Chad Erickson

August 22, 1976 - October 10, 2020

Chad Michael Erickson, 44 years old, died October 10th, 2020 in his sleep.  Chad was born at the Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota on August 22, 1976.  He resided in Centuria, Wisconsin.  Chad has three children, Alexander (14), Andrea (11), and Ava Lynn (3 months). Chad is survived by his parents, Lynn and Bruce Erickson; his two brothers, Nickolaus (Heather) and their boys, Marek, Zane, and Sawyer, Clay (Julie) and their children, Adeline and Jaxson.

Chad was a proud member of the sheet metal union local 18 and 10.  He even had a tatoo to prove it.  He worked in many schools and commercial buildings all over Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Chad was an avid fisherman.  Fishing called his name and Muskies were his game.  This is something he did with his friends and his family as often as he could.  Andrea's favorite memory of her Dad was the rope swing he put up at their favorite campsite on the St. Croix.  Camping and campfires were something they enjoyed together for many years.  Alex's favorite memories include tubing, fishing, and birthdays at the waterpark, and of course the day Chad brought the dawg Moose home in his arms while wearing a huge smile.  Chad recently bought motorcycles for he and his girlfriend, Jasmine, and had just enrolled in a class to get his license.

A tribute to Chad comes from the fact that he and Jasmine, plus his exwife, Janis and the children were all able to live together in one house and make it work for the family's sake.  Janis recently moved to another home nearby, but continued to share custody.  Chad will be missed by Jasmine Peterson, the mother of Ava Lynn, who said that Chad was her best friend whom she loved dearly, by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Rest in peace.  We hope you meet up with Landon, Christopher, Tom, Mark and Jim who are all gone way to young.  Kiss Grandma and Grandpa for us too.

A Celebration of Chad’s Life will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion-Post 143, 807 East Pine Street, St. Croix Falls, WI 54024.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home.
