In Memory of Carole Althoff


March 4, 1947 - December 2, 2020

Carole J. Althoff of Luck, WI passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in her home. She was born in Frederic, WI on March 4, 1947 to Jim and Eleanor Kreutzian.

Carole grew up in Granstburg, WI with her three sisters on a farm. She graduated from Grantsburg. She participated in 4H growing up as a child. She raised 3 boys. She volunteered to help with field trips. She was a Scout district trainer for the Boy Scouts of America. She took many trips with the boys camping and hiking for Scouts. She received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

Carole worked a variety of jobs throughout her life such as a librarian, plastic injection molding operator, and a bookkeeper. Carole graduated from Pine Technical College with an Accounting degree. Carole had many hobbies such as traveling, drives in the meadows, picking flowers, she loved to watch the wildlife. She loved her family, children and grandchildren very much. Carole was a breast cancer survivor. Carole enjoyed going to the racetrack and also watching demolition derbies. Carole was a Tweety Bird fanatic. She enjoyed reading cookbooks and making all her nieces and nephews birthday cakes.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Eleanor Kreutzian and her brother, David Kreutzian. She is survived by her significant other, Barry Goldsworthy of Luck, WI; children, James Althoff of Hudson, WI, Jon (Amy) Althoff of St. Francis, MN, Jason (Jenny) of Grantsburg, WI, and Jason (Amanda) Goldsworthy of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Ashley Althoff, Jaimie (Jake) Sandquist, Chris Althoff, Kadence Stencel, Nathan Dahlheimer, and Alan Goldsworthy; great-grandchildren, Kyler Althoff, Jackson Sandquist, and Jordynn Sandquist; siblings, Kathie (Don) Libby, Kay (Lawrence) Fossom, and Joann (Bill) Anderson; many nieces and nephews.

We want everyone safe due to Covid so there will be a private service held for the immediate family on Friday, December 11, 2020. A memorial service with all family and friends will be held in the spring/summer. Date is to be determined.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home.
