In Memory of Carol V. Northquest


December 30, 1930 - February 15, 2024

Carol Vivian Northquest walked peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 15, 2024, at the age of 93.

Carol Vivian was born to Cora Marie Burch and George Thomas Brown at their farm home in Eureka Center, WI on December 30, 1930. She was one of six children.

She graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1949. After graduation, she worked at a Sewing Factory that was in the basement of the Auditorium Theater in St. Croix Falls.

Carol was married to Robert Northquest on June 10, 1950. Seven children were born to this union. Carol was busy taking care of her family and quit her factory job before their first child was born.

Carol was part of the Lamar Homemakers Club, a charter member of The First Baptist Church of Taylors Falls, MN. She was active in the church as a Sunday School teacher, the church clerk and later the treasurer, the church choir, Ladies Missionary Fellowship, Couple's Club, and helping with Wednesday evening kids’ activities.

Carol enjoyed sewing, reading, Bible Studies, gardening, Brown Family campouts and Family gatherings, she also loved to sing. She will be remembered for her strong faith in Jesus, her love of family, her ready smile and her gentle and quiet presence.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, George and Cora Brown; her in-laws; John and Mabel Northquest; sisters, Luella Sundeen, Marjorie Voge, Marilyn Kaiser; brothers, John and Doug; and her sister-in-law, Joan Janzen.

Carol is survived by her children, Roger (Nancy), Ronald, St. Croix Falls, WI, Diane (Doug) Ackerman, Andover, MN, Allan (Sandy), Fridley, MN, Faye (Sherwood) Bergseid, Shorewood, MN, Michael (Joneen), Blaine, MN, Steven (Stacey), Maple Grove, MN; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Brown, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral service for Carol will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 661 West Street, Taylors Falls, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at St. Croix Falls Cemetery.
