Brenda Leigh Schleiss Age 59, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 23, 1964 in Rice Lake to Walter and Betty (Borgen) Thompson.

Brenda attended Boyceville and Rice Lake High School and was married to Jerome Schleiss and later divorced. She worked many different jobs during her life but her favorite job was being a mother. Her whole world was her children and grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She enjoyed drawing, painting, making crafts, collecting agates and other memorabilia and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by 4 children, Gary Schleiss, Clarissa Schleiss (Travis Livingston), Breanna Schleiss and Tanna Bender (Brett Yuhas); 8 grandchildren, Mercedez, Dominick, Divina, Leo, Gavin, Kozzet, Vinny and Zander; 2 sisters, Tammy Larson (Bill Beranek) and Jennifer Thompson; a brother, Blaine Thompson; 2 half siblings, Scott Thompson and Vicki Ganther; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Betty Thompson and her Exhusband, Jerome Schleiss.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Jane Snowden officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
