In Memory of Bonnie L. Arnson
Bonnie Lee Arnson was born on February 5, 1954 in Nebraska. She attended Fort Atkinson High School in Fort Atkinson, WI. A lifelong flower girl, her love of music was only surpassed by the love of her son, Kevin. Bonnie was 17 when Kevin was born and he was always central to her life.
A vibrant and loving soul, with a wonderful sense of humor, Bonnie had many accomplishments in life and met many of her dear friends through the various organizations and activities in which she participated. In work, she was quick with a smile and a hardcore activist in her union at General Motors. She was a member of The Brother’s of the Third Wheel (BTW) and was a chapter leader for numerous years. On top of her work and leadership roles, she always sought to better herself and graduated from college with a web design degree from Kaplan University. Her passions were riding her trike, doing crafts, and “twirling” in the hot tub. She loved playing Fill-or-Bust, going out to support the local arts and craft shows, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family. She hosted the family’s Pumpkin Carvin’ Contest each year and her home was always open for getting a snack or using the restroom. She was blessed with many friends who she cared for deeply. She was one of the brightest lights in a dark world. Her smile, light, laughter, and wisdom will be forever in our hearts. Her family will forever remember her eagerness to help anyone she met and her phenomenal cooking (and bootlegging Everclear for her homemade Kahlua). She lived her life to the beat of her own drum, and loved fiercely.
She is preceded in death by her parents Betty and Frank Bowen and the love of her life, Keith Arnson. She is survived by her brother, Dennis Bowen (Elizabeth), son, Kevin (Victoria) Olmstead, her fur-baby, Houdini, her grandchildren, Shana (David) Tomenes, Jessica (Christian) Nelsen, Mya Severson, and Ean Severson, her great grandchildren, Leoncio and Benjamin, and her niece, Audrey Bowen.
The visitation for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 11AM with the Celebration of Life to follow at noon at the Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic, Wisconsin. There will be a luncheon for family and friends at the 300 Club from 1-3PM.
