In Memory of Beverly J. Hayes


October 15, 1936 - December 20, 2022

Beverly Hayes, age 86 of Osceola, WI passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Thief River Falls, MN, on October 15, 1936, and grew up in Mavie, MN and then on her family farm in Goodridge, MN with her four sisters. She eventually moved to the big city of Minneapolis where she climbed the corporate ladder becoming the Vice President of Seabury & Smith, Inc. before settling down into retirement at her lake home with her husband, Frank Hayes, in Grantsburg, WI.

Bev was known for her love of quilting and most of her friends and family, blessed to have Bev in their lives, adorn their beds and tables with her beautiful, hand-made quilts and table runners/placemats. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for an adventure and laughter.

Beverly was very proud to have celebrated 42 years of sobriety.

She will be deeply missed by her loving son, Gregory Grimes (Lois) and their daughter, Sarah Grimes; daughter, Pamela Cunningham (Richard) and their children, Shane Cunningham and Tarah Voltin (Brandon); Step-son Paul Hayes (Trish) and children John Hayes and Ben Hayes; step-son Gregory Hayes (Lynette) and their children Wyatt Hayes (Ashley) and Heidi Hayes; step-daughter, Katherine Ritter (Mark) and their children David Ritter (Jenny), Melissa Pierce (Joe), and Lauren Ritter; Step-son David Hayes (Deb) and their children Tristan Hayes (Sara) and Carter Hayes; and many other family and friends who she has touched with her laughter and love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hayes; mother, Francis Oski; father, Bob Oski; daughter-in-law Lois Grimes; and her sister, Mary Ann Kehoe.

A funeral service will be scheduled, at a later date, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grantsburg, WI, in which, a notice will be posted in the Sentinel closer to that time. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Immaculate Conception Church or The Humane Society of Burnett County.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
