In Memory of Bertha K. Mouchet
Bertha Kay (Baker) Mouchet, age 83, a resident of Grantsburg, WI passed away on October 16, 2022.
Kay was born on May 21, 1939 in Omaha, Arkansas to parents Kermit and Oma (Robertson) Baker. She grew up in Placerville, California.
Kay married her first husband, James Maxey in Sacramento in 1959. They lived in several states before moving to the Minneapolis area in 1978. In 1986 she married James (Jim) Mouchet. Kays last job was a legal secretary for Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis, retiring in 2003 after 23 years. In 2007 Kay and Jim moved to Grantsburg where they spent the rest of their lives together.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Oma Baker; and her sister, Ann McCall.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James; daughter, Kim Maxey; son, Jay (Bonnie) Maxey; stepchildren, Steven and Jennifer Mouchet; 2 granddaughters; 1 great granddaughter; four step-grandsons; sister, Gloria (David) Zampedri; along with other relatives and friends.
A private burial will take place at a later date at the Oak Grove Cemetery in East Farmington, Wisconsin.
They family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you for the care and kindness given to Kay by the wonderful staff at the St. Croix Hospice.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg.
